We keep the books, prepare the returns and hold the deadlines. Where a statutory audit is required, it is performed by an auditor your company appoints independently — we prepare the file and liaise, as the Tilintarkastuslaki 1141/2015 (Finnish Auditing Act) requires.

Statutory scope estimator

What does Finnish law actually require of your company?

Move the figures to see which statutory obligations follow — audit requirement, VAT filing period, reporting deadlines and the bookkeeping workload behind them. Every output cites the act it comes from.

A workload band in hours, not a price. This estimator never quotes a fee, and it does not calculate a tax saving or a refund. Indicative statutory scope only, generated from the figures you entered. It is not tax advice, not a fee quote and not a guarantee of any outcome. Your actual obligations depend on your full accounts and are confirmed in writing after review.

Recommended engagement scope · Group

Full financial reporting with group or IFRS packages, audit file preparation and auditor liaison, and board-level reporting.

Statutory basis and compliance calendar

Audit test — Tilintarkastuslaki 1141/2015, chapter 2 section 2

  • Balance sheet total above EUR 100,000exceeded
  • Net sales above EUR 200,000exceeded
  • More than 3 employees on averageexceeded

Two or more of the three statutory criteria are exceeded, so the company must elect an auditor. Bokforingsbyra Lundstrom Ab prepares the audit file and liaises with that auditor; it does not perform the audit itself.

VAT position

Monthly is the default filing period. The return and the payment are due on the 12th day of the second month following the tax period. The standard Finnish VAT rate is 25.5% and the corporate income tax rate is 20%.

How we work

Conservative where it counts, useful the rest of the time

An accounting firm earns its place by being boring in the right places. Here is what that means in practice.

Advice you can point at a statute

Every recommendation names the act and section it rests on. Where the correct treatment is genuinely open, we say so and prepare an advance ruling application rather than take a position we could not defend in a tax audit.

Deadlines held, not chased

VAT on the 12th, Incomes Register within five days of payment, the tax return four months after the period, financial statements to PRH within eight. The calendar is ours to hold, and you hear from us before a deadline rather than after it.

One ledger, four outputs

The management report, the VAT return, the corporate tax computation and the audit file all come out of the same bookkeeping. Nothing is reconstructed at year end, which is where most surprises come from.

Data kept inside the EU

Your records and the enquiries you send through this site are stored on servers in the EU/EEA and seen only by our own staff. Retention periods are stated in the Privacy Policy and, once we are engaged, in the engagement letter.

Straight answers

Questions we are asked before the first meeting

Is Bokföringsbyrå Lundström Ab a registered company in Finland?

Yes. Bokföringsbyrå Lundström Ab is entered in the Finnish Trade Register under Business ID 0519474-8, with EU VAT number FI05194748, at Nybrovägen 9, 04130 Sipoo. The entry can be checked free of charge in the Business Information System at tietopalvelu.ytj.fi, and the VAT number can be validated in the EU VIES service.

How long has the firm been operating?

The business has been in the Finnish Trade Register since 3 February 1983. It operated as the limited partnership Bokföringsbyrå A. Lundström Kb until 1 April 2018, when it was converted into a limited company and took its present name, Bokföringsbyrå Lundström Ab. Both dates appear in the public register under the same Business ID.

Does the firm perform statutory audits?

No. Under the Finnish Auditing Act (1141/2015) the party that keeps the accounts cannot issue the audit opinion on those same accounts, and Bokföringsbyrå Lundström Ab is not an audit firm. We prepare the audit file, answer the auditor’s requests and manage the timetable, while the statutory audit itself is performed by an auditor your company appoints independently.

Do you work with consumers?

No. Services are provided to businesses, associations and other organisations with reporting obligations in Finland. We do not offer consumer debt advice, consumer credit, personal investment advice or any service requiring a licence we do not hold.

What does the statutory scope estimator on this site calculate?

It applies the published thresholds in Finnish law to the figures you enter and returns the statutory obligations that follow — whether an auditor must be elected under the Auditing Act, which VAT filing period applies, the reporting deadlines, and an indicative bookkeeping workload in hours. It does not quote a fee and does not calculate a tax saving or a refund.
